SacramentsThe Sacraments were instituted by Christ the Lord and entrusted to the Church. They are actions of Christ and His Body, the Church. Therefore they are signs and means which express and strengthen the faith, render worship to God, and effect the sanctification of humanity and thus contribute in the greatest way to establish, strengthen, and manifest communion.

Sacrament of Baptism
Two months prior notice required for Baptismal preparation. Call the office to make arrangements.

Sacrament of Confirmation
Customarily, Confirmation is administered by the Bishop to those around the age of 11-12 (6th Grade). Please contact to register your child for Confirmaiton preparation.
Those who are not 11-12 years of age must speak to the parish to make other arrangements. -
First Communion
Reception of First Holy Communion is customarily given to those age 7-8 (2nd Grade). Children must undergo prepration either through Sacred Heart School or (PSR) Public Schoo Religion.

Sacrament of Marriage
Couples planning marriage must contact the pastor nine months in advance of the marriage for sacramental preparation and necessary documentation.

Sacrament of the Priesthood
Young men who have questions about the priesthood or are interested should speak with the pastor.

Communion Calls & Anointing of the Sick
Call the office (620-442-0566) concerning illness and shut-ins so we may visit them. Families should notify the pastor when a parishioner is hospitalized or having surgery.
